Instructions to make to make Diya Mathri
- Take a bowl and sieve Maida then add ajwain by crushing in between the palm, salt, Black pepper powder and give a mix.
- Now add Ghee and mix well till flour becomes crumbly, and check the ghee consistency by taking flour and pressing in your palm if it combines then add water and knead a tight dough.
- Now divide the dough into equal portion and add food Colours as per your choice and leave it to rest for 15 mins. By covering with lid or Muslin cloth.
- Now roll each ball in rectangular shape and very thin. Roll till it becomes transperant and prick from falk. Now apply sata on each layer and place it on one on the other.
- Now cut the sides and give a sharp rectangular shape first, then cut in small square shapes, and then again cut square into half in triangle shape as shown in pic.
- Now paste the edges of triangle with the help of sata and press it. Now take a pan add Oil for frying. Fry all on low-medium flame till turn crispy.
