Pani Puri is a popular street food of India, where crisp fried puris are stuffed with salty boondi,spicy tangy Pani and sweet chutney.

  2. 1 cup semolina
  3. 1/4 cup wheat flour
  4. 1/2 cup water
  5. as required Oil for frying
  6. For green chutney-
  7. 1 cup mint leaves
  8. 1 cup coriander
  9. few green chillies
  10. 1/2 inch ginger
  11. 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  12. 1 tsp black salt
  13. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  14. to taste Salt
  15. For sweet chutney-
  16. 1 cup tamarind pulp
  17. 1 cup jaggery
  18. 1 tsp black salt
  19. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  20. 1 tsp dried ginger powder
  21. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  22. as required Water
  23. to taste Salt
  24. as required Salty boondi

Instructions to make to make Pani Puri

  1. In blender add coriander and mint leaves,chilli,ginger, cumin powder,chat masala,black salt, and blend it into fine paste, transfer the green chutney into a bowl,add water and mix well,add salty boondi green chutney Pani is ready.
  2. Heat a pan on medium heat add little water, tamarind pulp, jaggery,black salt,cumin powder, ginger powder,red chilli powder and cook 7-8 minutes.
  3. In a bowl take semolina and wheat flour mix well, add water and mix well, don't add any more water,make dough of it,cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough once more, take small ball out of it and keep rest of the dough covered
  5. Heat oil in a kadhai,roll out a chapati as thin as possible, after rolling out chapati,make small Puris with the help of cookie cutter or lid
  6. Deep fry few Puris at a time in to hot oil,press a little,it will puff up and are golden brown in colour from both sides
  7. Crispy Puris are ready
  8. Pani Puri is ready to serve
