- For Yeast Proofing
- 1/2 cup Water(lukewarm)
- 1/4 cup Milk(lukewarm)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Yeast
- For Dough
- 3 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Butter melted
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- For Filling
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon powder
- Pinch Fresh Nutmeg (jaifal)
- 1/2 bar Softened Butter
- 2 Tbsp Melted Butter
- For Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1/2 cup Cream Cheese
- 1/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- 2 Tbsp Melted Butter
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Essence
Instructions to make to make Cinnamon Rolls
- Mix together lukewarm water +lukewarm milk in a bowl.add 1 tsp sugar.
- Add yeast, cover & keep aside for 5-10 min.this is called Proofing of Yeast.it will help activate yeast & rise up.either yeast swells up/rise up or gives foamy appearance which shows yeast has been proofed well enough.
- Add melted butter & sugar in yeast.whisk it to mix.add salt as well.
- Add one whole egg.add all purpose flour in yeast mixture.
- Mix flour slowly in yeast mixture, not all flour at a time.now mix it with hands.
- Gradually mixture takes form of soft dough.take little flour at a time and knead dough.
- When a soft dough is formed.cover it with clingfilm & keep for minimum 1 hr.
- Make filling by mixing brown sugar with cinnamon powder & pinch of fresh nutmeg (jaiful). Keep aside.
- Check after an hour or so, the dough has risen up.punch it & then roll it in ball of smooth dough once again.
- Dust rolling surface with dry flour & roll out the dough in square or rectangle log.
- Take softened butter & spread it on dough log with brush or with hands.
- Spread cinnamon filling at log.
- Start rolling the log from one side tightly.roll till the end. Keep dusting the surface if you need help in rolling the log.
- Level the dough with spatula or dough cutter.cut the log in equal parts around 10-12.
- Place butter paper on a baking tray or oven proof tray & place each roll,leaving space in between for further rising.
