Usually in winter weekend Paratha is the dish as a special breakfast. Aloo paratha in veg and Egg paratha in non-veg are most popular in my family, besides other stuffed paratha. I haven't made large paratha. So one egg is enough to make the stuffing masala.
Tomato sauce , curd ,aloo curry , chole masala, raita and pickle also good compliment with parathas. We ,sometimes even like to eat stuffed parathas as such.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Egg Paratha:

  1. 1 cup wheat flour
  2. 2 tsp melted ghee
  3. 1 pinch salt
  4. 1/3 tsp carrom seeds
  5. 1/3 tsp cumin seeds
  6. as needed Water to make the dough
  7. For egg masala
  8. 1 egg
  9. 2 tbsp chopped onion
  10. 1/3 tsp grated ginger
  11. 1/3 tsp green chilli finely chopped
  12. 1/4 tsp grated garlic
  13. 1/3 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  14. 1/3 tsp chat masala
  15. 1/2 tsp crushed dried methi(fenugreek) leaves
  16. 1/3 tsp salt
  17. as needed Ghee for shallow fry of parathas

Instructions to make to make Egg Paratha

  1. To make the dough mix all the ingredients. Add water little at a time and make the dough. Rest the same for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the paratha in triangle shape after brushing ghee.

    In the hot pan cook the paratha in medium flame.
  3. Mix the stuffing ingredients lightly. Open the broad end of paratha and fill with stuffing evenly.(see in pics)

    Now add some ghee and cook both the sides in low- medium flame.
  4. Cook till the egg stuffing will rise inside the paratha.

    Now the egg paratha is cooked and ready to eat.
